A good example of the firm’s capability was their representation on the transformation of the old Howard Johnson Hotel in Hamden to a top flight Clarion Hotel & Suites. We needed to apply for town approvals through planning and zoning as well as inland wetlands. Our proximity to a town border and being on a CT highway further compounded the approval process. With approvals, the nature of the civil engineering work to tie into our existing utilities and to expand the hotel on a difficult site required the coordination of both survey data and civil data. Godfrey-Hoffman’s ability to synthesize the data in one shop made the process work far more smoothly, and helped to lead to a very successful and acclaimed transformation.
